Trevor Kinlock, Senior Pastor Pastor Trevor Kinlock was raised in Los Angeles, California for most of his life. At an early age, he accepted the Lord and was baptized into the gospel of Jesus Christ. Sensing the call of God on his life, he enrolled at Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama where he earned his B.A. in Ministerial Theology in 1998. He continued his ministerial training at Andrews University Theological Seminary in Berrien Springs, Michigan where he earned his Masters degree in Divinity. During his time in seminary, he spent 2 years as a pastoral intern at the Praise Fellowship SDA church in South Bend, Indiana. While at Praise Fellowship, Pastor Kinlock helped grow the youth ministry from a small handful to over 70 youth and young adults.
Shortly after his ministry in Indiana, Pastor Kinlock followed God’s providential leading to the Allegheny East Conference where he was assigned to serve as the assistant pastor of the Emmanuel-Brinklow SDA church in Brinklow, Maryland. His years at Brinklow proved to be divinely guided as he served with Senior Pastor Marcellus T. Robinson. Together they watched God move in miraculous ways in the life of the Brinklow family and community at large.
As providence would have it, the Lord used this period at the Emmanuel church to introduce Pastor Kinlock to the lady who would become his partner and life-long companion, Carleen H. Wallington. The two became husband and wife on November 6, 2005. Carleen specializes in the field of child development and family relations and currently works on the national level in behalf of at-risk children amongst America’s low-income families.
Pastor Kinlock is currently enjoying ministry at the historic Calvary Seventh-day Adventist church in Newport News, Virginia where he was assigned as pastor in the fall of 2005. Since this time, he has witnessed the power of God transforming the lives of the membership and growing the size of the church body as a whole. He considers it an honor to pastor this special church family and is humbly grateful to be a part of the Lord’s last day work there. Pastor Kinlock has a resolute conviction in the soon coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and has committed his life to the preaching of the everlasting gospel to the ends of the earth.
